Open Graph & Social Card Preview

See how a link-sharing card might look before you publish. Preview a local image and generate safe Open Graph and X/Twitter tags—entirely in your browser.

Build a sharing-card mock-up

This previews the values you enter; it does not fetch another website or verify that social platforms will use these exact words or dimensions.

Link cards differ among platforms and can be cached or cropped.

Suggested metadata

Copy into your public page’s <head>. Add a publicly accessible absolute og:image URL if you need an image; a file selected only for local preview is never published.

How to preview a page’s social sharing card

Enter a full HTTPS/HTTP page URL, title, description and optional website name. Choose a picture from your device to see its potential crop in large and compact cards. Use our image optimiser if you need a different aspect ratio. When your metadata looks useful, copy the suggested tags into the actual page markup.

For a real image card, publish the image at a public absolute HTTPS URL and provide that address in the public image URL field. This tool does not retrieve remote images, upload your local files or inspect a live site's metadata. Open Graph tags provide hints; Facebook, LinkedIn, X and messaging services can display or cache cards differently, so verify with the actual platform after publishing. A 1.91:1 landscape image is a common design starting point, not a universal requirement.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my live shared card different?

Services may rewrite text, use different card types, crop the image, cache older tags or require special formats. Preview the final public URL on the actual platform and allow time for caches to update.

Will the local uploaded image become available online?

No. Files selected here are displayed only in your current browser session. Publish your image on your own HTTPS website and use its public URL in the generated tags.

Does a social image improve Google rankings?

Images and metadata can help explain and present content, but no visual asset or meta tag guarantees rankings, Google image thumbnails or AI search exposure. See our current publishing checklist.
