Publisher revenue calculator
Use the same currency for all revenue figures. Impressions and pageviews have different meanings.
eCPM versus page RPM
eCPM estimates earnings per 1,000 monetised advertising impressions. Formula: revenue ÷ ad impressions × 1,000. Page RPM estimates revenue per 1,000 pageviews. Formula: revenue ÷ pageviews × 1,000.
For example, if you earn 350 currency units from 100,000 advertising impressions over 50,000 pageviews, eCPM is 3.50 and page RPM is 7.00. These measures differ because a pageview may carry zero, one or several ad impressions.
Tips for accurate comparisons
Keep revenue, impressions and pageviews within the same reporting window, currency and site/property scope. For ad revenue, decide whether you are using gross or net revenue and keep that definition consistent. Do not interpret this calculator as a revenue forecast.
Common questions
Can page RPM be higher than eCPM?
Yes. If a page produces multiple paid ad impressions, page RPM can exceed ad eCPM.
Is eCPM the same as an advertiser CPM?
Not necessarily. Advertiser CPM describes spend per thousand impressions, whereas publisher eCPM is based on revenue the publisher actually records.
